Hello darlings !
Can you believe one month of the year is gone already !? Honestly I have no idea where the time has gone. As you may be able to tell, these photos were taken quite a little while ago ! This was just around the end of summer when it was starting to get chillier at night but not enough to put on a sweater, exactly when a long duster vest like this one comes in handy. As you may be able to tell, these photos got lost in the depths of my computer even though I absolutely love this outfit and was super excited to share these photos with you. Now that I have found them, I am going to share this look with you as we sit in the midst of a snowstorm ( well here in Ontario anyways ).
This outfit combines some staple pieces that I feel are necessary in everyones wardrobe and that is why I love it so much. These staples I am talking about are as follows: a bodysuit perfect for tucking into high waisted pieces, a high waisted denim button up mini skirt that happens to go wonderfully with the bodysuit, a long duster vest to make the look a little more tailored and some trendy embroidered floral ankle booties. All of these things put together makes a very easy outfit that is perfect for almost any occasion and has enough trendy details to make it of the moment. Of course these trends I am talking about were all from last summer, chokers, embroidery and duster vests being some of these but actually all of these things have carried over into this year so it still applies ! You could say I am just giving you some very early spring wardrobe inspiration haha. I am pretty sure not a lot of these things are available anymore but I will be sure to link some similar items below so you can be ahead of the game come springtime.
Each of these items on their own are very versatile which is always important to me when picking out pieces to add into my wardrobe; you can see the various pieces shown here, here, here and here if you would like inspiration on how to style them different ways. I paired these versatile pieces together along with my crossbody saddle type bag to keep with the simple clean lines of the look and added some red nails that matched the the floral print on my booties for a fun pop of colour. I added virtually no jewelry to this look (besides some stud earrings and the ring I wear everyday) because I thought it had enough detail and contrast already and didn’t want to detract from the lovely items themselves.

I personally think this is one look that I will definitely be remixing and recreating in the springtime because I love it so much. I know that embroidery is going to be huge this season so these boots will get a lot more wear (I am scared to wear them in the snow naturally). I also can not wait to add more embroidered pieces into my wardrobe as they are just so pretty and unique, this skirt for example will be getting added into my shopping cart right away ! What trends are you looking forward to this year !? I would love to hear !
I hope you enjoyed this little Throwback Thursday to a much warmer time and I hope it gave you some inspiration for the upcoming season and at the very least brightened up your day a little (aren’t the flower pots on my mom’s street amazing ! So pretty right). I hope the rest of your week is amazing, thank you so much for stoping by !
