Hello gorgeous people !
Now, as you may have noticed we have gone back in time ! If you don’t know what I am talking about, I am talking about the fact that my hair is long and one color again. These photos were taken before my birthday but I wanted to get my birthday post up first so it was still relevant. Now that it is up though, I will be sharing with you this look today and one other look that I took photos for the day before my birthday. Soooo, I hope you enjoy going back in time for a little bit until our regularly scheduled programming comes back to a computer screen near you.
Ever since I saw the skinny scarf trend I have been utterly obsessed. I don’t know what it is, but they add such a stylish element to literally almost any look. So naturally, as soon as I got it I have been wearing it with almost everything ! Skinny scarves have a very 70’s and 90’s vibe to them as they were big in both eras and I have been playing around with both of them in mind as inspiration. For this look, I think it is pretty obvious I was playing off of a 70’s vibe. Every time I wear this suede skirt I just think of the 70’s and so I always end up styling it very 70’s esque… it’s just a thing apparently lol. Either way I love both of these pieces and together they make a wonderful pair !
To break up the look from looking like it literally from the 70’s though, I added in another one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe that you have all seen MANY times, my layered white top. I love this top so, so much, and it is always my go-to for when I don’t know what to wear or am having a blah day. The volume on top is such a nice contrast to any tighter bottom – which most of my wardrobe consists of, and so I find myself pairing it with everything and it always looks great. There are a few newer versions of it out at Zara right now and I think I am going to purchase them both so I can wear more than one top that gives the same vibe. I suggest getting your hands on one because I promise you won’t be able to take it off.
For a little added height I added my go-to over the knee boots that I have been wearing the heck out of this year. I love how they elongate my legs and give me some added height as well, plus they are super comfortable. I wanted to stick with black shoes and accessories to pair nicely with the scarf and add balance to the look, which I think works really well and I often try to do. As you may be able tell by the photo below ( note clenched fist fighting against the cold ) and all of the snow around the area , it was hella cold out and so to keep warm I added some black tights as well. I did have a jacket off to the side but it was blocking my outfit so I decided to bare the cold for a few minutes haha… Oh the life of a fashion blogger.

Now, I can guarantee that you will see all of these pieces again when the weather gets warmer because I love them all and will be pairing them with other things; so if you want to see how I style the scarf different ways just stay tuned ! I hope you all enjoyed this little back in time post haha, I sure had fun reliving the day ! The next post as I have said, will also be back in time so I hope you like going back in time as much as I do ! After that we will be going Back To The Future… Haha… Get it !? I had to lol… Anyways have a lovely weekend all of you !
Thank you so much for reading !
