Autumnal Tudor Inspired Baroque Print

Hello Lovely People !

It is the first official week of Autumn ! Yayyy, I am so excited ! Autumn is by far my favorite season and I just can’t wait for everything to be in full fall mode, fashion, food, weather… literally everything. I am sorry that blog posts have been few and far between these past few weeks, but as always I am super busy and finding time to take photos, edit and write has been crazy. Believe it or not, I have been trying to do this post for a long time now. I knew I wanted to photograph this exact outfit

ever since I bought this top… I even got ready and wore it three different days before I could actually take the photos (one day we were out too long and the sun went down, the next day it was raining, and the other day we ended up going out again and took all day). Anyways, point being, I feel like this is long overdue and I am very sorry ! I do have a day off tomorrow though and will hopefully be able to get another blog post up by the end of this week.

I saw this top during my last stop into Topshop and fell head over heels in love with it ! It is so different from anything I own (I don’t usually go for prints), and so not like me to have picked out but something about it just drew me in and I knew I had to have it. The print reminds me of something that the Tudors would have worn, very baroque and old royalty inspired, but the cut of it being a cropped top (which you can’t tell lol but it is just a tad longer than what you can see) and very low cut as well is very modern and on trend. I am an autumn clothing lover and I think that is another reason was so drawn to this top. All of the colors are very warm toned, darker colors that scream fall and although it incorporates a lot of colors, it is also very easy to wear… almost neutral even. I knew that I wanted to pull out my Michael Kors Selma to accompany this top because of the rusty orange color in it. The color of this purse balances out the outfit nicely and keeps it from being too black ( I feel that with just black it would give off an almost Gothic-type vibe and that isn’t what I was going for). I also decided to wear my studded Sam Edelmans once again ( I have been wearing them way too often I know I’m sorry I just love them) to add a little extra detail to the outfit but kept everything else simple and streamlined with just my usual black skater skirt and some tights. The only other thing I accessorized with was my Michael Kors watch just to keep the warm tones going through out the look and because the top is bolder I didn’t feel that I needed a necklace.

Now like I said I wore this outfit literally for four days already and I still love it, it is so versatile and can be worn anywhere, casual enough for daytime and dressed up enough for night time. I am definitely going to be wearing it again and I am excited to change it up a few different ways as well. You are guaranteed to see a version of this outfit in the future, so I am in advance sorry but (life lesson here) if you find an outfit that can be worn anywhere, anytime and you are comfortable in it and know it looks good than I believe that you should wear it as often as you like because outfits like that are pretty rare.

Thank you so much for reading ! I hope everyone has a lovely week,
